The BigSun Organization is honoured to be able to assist young athletes in achieving academic success. To contribute, we provide an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible, regardless of the sport or capacity in which they participate. The student must be a senior in high school or enrolled in a postsecondary institute.

The Big Sun Athletic Organization is committed to giving young athletes the opportunity to learn and excel. In our community, we are developing programmes in all sports to keep our children motivated, healthy, and to teach them the value of teamwork.

Who qualifies?
All student athletes are eligible, regardless of the sport or capacity in which they participate. The student must be a senior in high school or enrolled in a postsecondary institute.
Please include your name as well as the name of the school you attend.
Win $500 by writing a 500-1000 word essay. It’s that easy!
How to Apply:
Answer the following questions in a short essay (500 – 1,000 words):
How did your involvement in sports during high school influence you?
Has your involvement influenced your career goals?
Has your participation changed the way you interact with your family?

Remember to include your name as well as the name of the school you attend.
When will the winner be announced?
The winner will be notified within two weeks of the deadline, and their name will be posted on this website.
When will the award be presented?
Within two weeks of the deadline, the award is mailed.
