The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) is an exciting scholarship program that has replaced the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS).

Who Can Apply? The SISGP is available to students from several countries, including Armenia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, Pakistan, Rwanda, South Africa, Vietnam, and many others. A total of 350 scholarships are expected to be awarded in 2023.

Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for the SISGP, applicants must meet several requirements. First, they should be citizens of eligible countries, though residency in those countries at the time of application is not mandatory. Additionally, applicants need to have a minimum of 3,000 hours of demonstrated work experience and show leadership experience from their current or previous employer or civil society engagement.

Scholarship Benefits: Selected scholars will enjoy numerous benefits, including full tuition fees coverage, a monthly living allowance of SEK 11,000, insurance, and a one-time travel grant of SEK 11,000-15,000 (for those living outside Sweden). The scholarship is intended for one-year or two-year full-time master’s programs, and it only applies to programs starting in the autumn semester.

How to Apply: Applicants must first apply for a master’s program at universityadmissions.se by January 16, 2023. Upon submission, they will receive a personal application number consisting of eight digits, which is needed for the SI scholarship application. The SI scholarship application can be submitted digitally through the online application portal from February 10, 2023, at 00:01 until February 28, 2023, at 14:59 CET.
