Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for any of the scholarships mentioned above, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Be an international student who requires a Study Permit to study in Canada.
  2. Have applied to an undergraduate degree program at York University for the Fall 2023 term.
  3. Have applied to York University directly from high school within two years of graduation (except for Tentanda Via Award, which is open to students with previous university or college studies).
  4. Possess an outstanding academic record with a minimum “A” average or its equivalent.
  5. Demonstrate leadership abilities through community service, arts, sports, or other areas of individual achievement.
  6. Submit one letter of recommendation or other relevant supporting documents as required.
  7. Ensure all necessary documents are marked as “Received” in the York application (MyFile) by 1st February 2023 at 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time.
  8. Complete and submit the online International Student Scholarship Application by 1st February 2023 at 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time.

Application Process: Applications for the scholarships are currently closed. However, when the application period is open, interested students can apply by completing the International Student Scholarship & Award Application form online.

To do so, they will need a 9-digit York reference number, which they will receive within five business days of applying to York. The deadline for submitting applications is 1st February 2023.
