Scholarship Details:

The Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship aims to support undergraduate and graduate students from various countries pursuing their degrees at NTHU. The scholarship offers a monthly stipend of NTD 20,000 from September 2023 to January 2024. The number of available scholarships varies each year based on MOFA’s budget, and students from different countries are assigned scholarships annually.


To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a passport from one of the eligible countries, including the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Belgium, Slovak Republic, Finland, Sweden, or Republic of Lithuania.
  2. Have an excellent academic record, good moral character, and no criminal record.
  3. Be a high school graduate or above.
  4. Be a prospective Exchange, Degree, or Dual Degree student at NTHU.
  5. Not be a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or an overseas compatriot student.
  6. Participate in cultural activities and interactions with other students to promote English-language exchange.
  7. Not receive financial benefits from Taiwanese government agencies or educational institutions.

Application Process:

To apply for the Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship, follow these steps:

  1. Download and complete the MOFA-NTHU Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship Application Form.
  2. Submit the application form, along with your academic transcripts and a copy of your passport, via email to [email protected].
  3. Apply for admission to NTHU in Taiwan before the respective deadlines: 17 January 2023 for undergraduate study and 21 February 2023 for graduate study.
  4. Ensure you meet the language proficiency requirements, including TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, or Mandarin Proficiency (TOCFL A2 or HSK Level 4).
