Voucher for the MTC certification exam Access to Office 365, as well as screen capture and recording software TechSmith Snagit and Camtasia. Benefits from swag and mentorship
In dedicated Leagues focused on various technologies and social issues, you can collaborate with other students who share your passion and apply your collective skills to solving real-world challenges together. You’ll then have the chance to showcase your work in local and global competitions such as the Microsoft Imagine Cup and student hackathon events. It’s also fine if you’re not sure what your passion is yet. You are welcome in our community as long as you are willing to try new things and experiment.
Microsoft will provide assistance in the form of exclusive access to experts such as Cloud Advocates and MVPs who can provide remote mentorship, guide your League’s efforts, and provide opportunities for you to be a part of the team as you prepare for graduation. These experts are also available to assist you in planning and running your events to help skill people in your own communities.
Microsoft makes it easier to make progress on the issue or technology that is most important to you by providing tools to assist you, such as monthly Azure credits, free access to Microsoft 365 apps like PowerPoint and Excel, cloud services like OneDrive and Microsoft Teams, development tools in Visual Studio, and free software from our technology partners, such as Techsmith’s Snagit screen capture software and the Camtasia screen recorder and video editor.
Furthermore, you can begin developing valuable career skills with self-paced online courses from Microsoft Learn. If you’re interested in something, whether it’s Machine Learning, Python, Azure static web apps, or something else, you can learn it at your own pace with these step-by-step courses. When you’re finished, you’ll be able to access a free certification exam!
There are numerous event possibilities:
Attend virtual events hosted by Microsoft and other organisations that focus on technical skilling and professional development.
Participate in virtual events hosted by other Student Ambassadors who want to share their knowledge and passion with other students.
In turn, you will pay it forwards and share your knowledge and passion by hosting events and advising other students. By sharing your knowledge and empowering your peers, you can increase your impact and stand out from the crowd by becoming a leader in your local tech community. Each Student Ambassador-hosted event reaches an average of 63 peers!
Take advantage of opportunities to attend Microsoft-hosted events. You will be able to attend the annual virtual Student Ambassadors Summit, which will include tech demos, panel discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at helping you develop your skills and increase your impact in the community. You may even be invited to share your expertise as a speaker at other events such as Microsoft Build!
Of course, there will be social/team-building activities, because what is a community without them?
Student Ambassadors can achieve specific milestones. The first two are self-paced, so you can choose when you want to advance to the next level, while the third is only available through Microsoft team nomination and is reserved for outstanding Ambassadors who go above and beyond in serving their community. You will receive additional awesome benefits as you reach each milestone.
Overall, the programme met all of my requirements as a student.
