The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program will be available in 2023. The University of Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships offer an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s best universities in one of the world’s most multicultural cities. The scholarship programme is designed to recognise students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and creativity, as well as who are recognised as school leaders. A special emphasis is placed on the student’s impact on the life of their school and community, as well as their future potential to positively contribute to the global community.
These scholarships, which are given out each year, recognise outstanding students from all over the world, including international students studying in Canadian high schools. This is the University of Toronto’s most prestigious and competitive international student scholarship. For four years, the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support. The scholarship is only available to students at the University of Toronto. Lester B. Pearson Scholars will be named each year to approximately 37 students.

Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program Eligibility 2023
To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:
an international university student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit)
an original and creative thinker dedicated to school and community a high achiever in academic and creative pursuits enthusiastic about learning and intellectual exploration have demonstrated strong leadership skills are currently in their final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2019 and intend to begin university in the upcoming academic year (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2020 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)
How to Apply for Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program
To apply, you’ll need to:
You will be nominated by your school. (High schools that have not already been contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our programme, which can be found on the main Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship webpage, which can be found by clicking here.)
Apply to study at the University of Toronto to begin your studies in 2020, and make sure to submit your application for admission by the deadlines.
You can apply for the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship online after we’ve received a nomination and you’ve applied to the university.
Selection Procedure: On the basis of application/eligibility criteria, approximately 37 Lester B. Pearson Scholars at the University of Toronto will be chosen annually. These scholarships are tenable only at the University of Toronto.
