Chalmers IPOET Scholarships for International Students

Brief Description:

Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden is offering around 35 IPOET scholarships for prospective fee-paying students in 2023. These scholarships are funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education and are open to citizens from non-EU/EEA countries. The scholarships cover 75% of the tuition fees for the entire Master’s program, which spans 4 semesters or 2 years. Exceptional students may receive an increased scholarship reduction of 85% during their second and final year of studies based on their academic performance.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the IPOET scholarships, applicants must be citizens of non-EU/EEA countries and required to pay tuition fees for their studies in Sweden. Only first-year Master’s program applicants will be considered.

Application Process:

Applicants must first apply online to at least one of the Master’s programs offered by Chalmers through the website universityadmissions.se before 16th January 2023. Each applicant will receive an application number from this process, which is necessary for completing the scholarship application.

The scholarship application process is separate from the university program application. The deadline for scholarship applications is 18th January 2023. Selection Criteria:

The selection of scholarship recipients is primarily based on the applicants’ academic excellence, which includes their weighted average grade, the stature of their home university (including its position on global ranking lists), and the priority order of their application for Chalmers Master’s programs.

Scholarship Value:

The IPOET scholarships cover 75% of the tuition fees for the entire 2-year Master’s program. Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased scholarship reduction, covering 85% of the tuition fee during the second and final year of their program.
