Scholarship Description
Melbourne University Sport is proud to provide students in financial need with a free fitness membership. We provide a comprehensive range of fitness and wellness services at MU Sport to keep you feeling good, in control of your health, and connected to friends and the larger university community.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- Be enrolled in a course of study with the University of Melbourne
- Have an academic status of good standing
- Must not be receiving subsidised Fitness Membership Access through alternative means or programs
- Not have a current MU Sport Fitness Membership, or have had an MU Sport Fitness Membership in the past 6 months
Criteria for selection
Candidates are chosen based on the quality of their personal statements and their level of financial need.
Students who received a Sport Access Scholarship in 2021 are eligible to apply again in 2022.

This scholarship is contingent on maintaining a good academic standing.
What are the advantages?
Sport Access Scholarships awarded in April (Round 1) and August (Round 2) will grant access to MU Sport Fitness facilities until November 30 of that year.
Membership in the gym includes:
Use of the Strength & Fitness Gym is unlimited (subject to maximum numbers)
One complimentary training programme per month and a free introductory session with a trainer in our Strength and Fitness Gym (subject to availability)
Access to Group Fitness classes is unlimited (subject to maximum class numbers)
Access to the Beaurepaire 25-meter heated lap pool is unlimited (subject to maximum numbers)
All other MU Sport services and facilities, such as court hire and accommodation at the Melbourne University Ski Lodge, are available at Member rates.
During your workout, you will have access to casual lockers.
