Eligibility:

The SEARCA Graduate Scholarship is available to nationals of specific Southeast Asian countries, including Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. Applicants should be regular employees of academic, research, or government institutions and should not exceed 35 years of age during the application period.

Fields of Study:

The scholarship supports Master’s or PhD Degree programs related to inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development. These fields may include Agricultural/Biological sciences, Social Sciences, Economics and Agribusiness, Forestry and Fisheries, Environmental Sciences, and Agro-industrial Technology and Engineering.

Scholarship Benefits:

Recipients of the SEARCA scholarship are entitled to a range of benefits, including coverage of tuition and other school fees, a travel allowance (roundtrip air ticket from home country to study post and local transportation), support for thesis/dissertation, book and supplies allowance, health insurance, and a stipend for food, lodging, and incidental expenses.

Applicants are encouraged to propose thesis research that aligns with SEARCA’s overarching theme of inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD).
