  • Be an international student from Canada (excluding students from mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau).
  • Have a permanent address in one of the following Canadian provinces: Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Applicants from Western Canada should apply to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vancouver.

Application Process: To apply for the Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship, you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Download and fill out the 2023 Taiwan Scholarship Application Form.
  2. Gather the required supporting documents:
    • A copy of your Canadian passport or other nationality certificates.
    • Authenticated or sealed copies of your highest degree and academic transcripts.
    • Proof that you have applied to a university/college in Taiwan.
    • Language proficiency certificate (if applicable).
    • Two sealed letters of reference.
    • Signed Taiwan Scholarship Terms of Agreement.
  3. Submit the application package to the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Canada by March 31, 2023.

Benefits of the Scholarship: If selected, you will receive the following benefits:
