Selection Criteria:

  2. Academic Qualification: The scholarship is open in four categories, and the qualifying academic percentage for each category is as follows:
  • Category A: 75% aggregate in class 8th.
  • Category B: 75% aggregate in class 10th.
  • Category C: 75% aggregate (Science and Commerce), 65% aggregate (Humanities/Arts) in class 12th or equivalent.
  • Category D: 60% aggregate (Science and Commerce), 50% aggregate (Humanities/Arts) at the graduate degree level.

Value of Scholarships:

The value of the JM Sethia Charitable Trust Merit Scholarships varies according to the category, and recipients will receive the following monthly amounts for two or three years, as applicable:

  • Category A: Rs. 400/-
  • Category B: Rs. 500/-
  • Category C: Rs. 600/-
  • Category D: Rs. 700/-
  • Category P: Rs. 1000/-

Special Reservations:

20% of the scholarships in each category are reserved for:

  1. Special Category: Handicapped students.
  2. Excellence in Extra-Curricular Activities: Students excelling in sports, holding an NCC ‘B’ certificate, participating in debates, drama, or engaging in social services.
  3. Economically Weaker Section: For students whose parents’ annual income does not exceed Rs. 1,20,000/-.
