The Institute of Education (IOE) at University College London (UCL) is delighted to offer the IOE-ISH Centenary Doctoral Scholarships for international students from low- and middle-income countries. This scholarship, in partnership with the International Students House (ISH), aims to provide an excellent opportunity for students to pursue a campus-based PhD program at the esteemed Institute of Education.

Fields of Study: The Centenary Doctoral Scholarships are available for campus-based PhD programs offered by IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society. Please note that the EdD, DEdPsy, and online programs are not eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits: Selected students will receive comprehensive support, including:

  1. Tuition Fees: The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees.
  2. Accommodation: Recipients will be provided with accommodation in a single room with a shared bathroom at the International Students House.
  3. Stipend: Students will receive an annual stipend of £7,740, disbursed in monthly installments.

Duration of Scholarship: The Centenary Doctoral Scholarship is tenable for up to 4 years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the IOE-ISH Centenary Doctoral Scholarships, candidates must:

  1. Be domiciled in a low or lower-middle-income country, as per the World Bank classification.
  2. Hold an official unconditional offer letter to study a full-time PhD degree at the Institute of Education, as issued by UCL Admissions.

Application Process: Applications for this scholarship are currently closed. To apply for the scholarship, eligible candidates must first secure an unconditional offer to study a full-time PhD degree in London at the UCL Institute of Education. Once the unconditional offer letter is received, candidates can complete and submit an online application form before the deadline of 2 May 2023, 23:55 (BST).
