Number of Scholarships:

The University of Padua is awarding a total of 53 Padua International Excellence Scholarships and an additional 50 scholarships through its various departments.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must meet certain criteria:

  • Non-Italian citizenship (dual citizenship including Italian is allowed).
  • Possession of a non-Italian upper secondary school certificate (for Bachelor’s or Single cycle degrees applicants) or a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s degree applicants) that qualifies for admission to the Italian University system.
  • Not currently residing in Italy.
  • Application to one or more English-taught degree programs at the University of Padua, adhering to the specified procedures and deadlines. Applicants may apply for up to three degree programs.

Scholarship Value and Duration:

Successful candidates will receive a subsistence allowance of €8,000 and a waiver of tuition fees. The only payment required is an admission fee, covering regional taxes and marca da bollo. The scholarship is valid for a maximum of two consecutive years for Master’s degree candidates or three consecutive years for Bachelor’s and Single Cycle degree candidates.

Additionally, partial scholarships are also available through the University’s departments, although these do not include tuition fee waivers.

Application Process:

The application period for the scholarship is currently closed. Prospective students who meet the eligibility criteria will be automatically considered for the selection process. No separate application is required beyond the documents needed for applying to their desired degree program.

The application deadlines vary, depending on the program, with some due on 10th March 2023 and others on 12th April 2023. If any degree programs remain unfilled after the initial application period, a second deadline of 9th July 2023 will be available for unlimited access degree programs without awarded scholarships.
