- Applicants must fulfill the entrance requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy program.
- Candidates should have a keen interest in subjects related to medicinal agriculture or plant biology.
- Students must be enrolled full-time and conducting their research at one of La Trobe University’s campuses.
- Candidates should have completed a Master by Research or any other substantial research work, such as an honors research thesis or a lead authorship of a peer-reviewed publication, assessed at a La Trobe Masters by research standard of 75 or above.
- Applicants should not be receiving another scholarship that exceeds 75 percent of the stipend rate for the same purpose.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
The selected candidates will receive a host of benefits to support their research journey:
- A generous stipend of $33,500 per annum (2023 rate) for up to three and a half (3.5) years.
- A tuition fee scholarship for up to four (4) years. Successful domestic applicants will be awarded an RTP Fees Offset scholarship, while successful international applicants will receive a La Trobe Full Fee Research Scholarship (LTUFFRS), unless they already have another tuition support scholarship.
- Additional allowances such as a relocation allowance and publication/thesis allowance or RTP Allowance.
