  1. Be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand or hold Australian Permanent Resident status, including New Zealand Permanent Residents.
  2. Have completed your Year 12 Higher School Certificate or a University of Newcastle enabling program within the two years prior to starting your Bachelor of Arts.
  3. Enroll full-time in the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Newcastle.
  4. Achieve a minimum ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) of 95 or higher, without including any adjustment factors.
  5. Not be the recipient of another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.

Scholarship Value:

The Anderson-Yamanaka Scholarship provides partial funding of up to $5,000, which will be awarded after the Semester 1 census date. This financial support can go a long way in assisting with your educational expenses during your Bachelor’s degree.
