As a prospective student at the University of Wolverhampton, I am not only passionate about pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field but also about empowering women and girls in STEM back in my home country. Through this blog post, I aim to share my vision and plans for promoting STEM education among women and girls and contributing to capacity building and engagement in my community after graduating.

Promoting STEM Education:

In my home country, there exists a significant gender disparity in STEM fields, with fewer women and girls pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths. To address this issue, I envision organizing workshops, seminars, and outreach programs to raise awareness about the opportunities and benefits of studying STEM subjects. Through these initiatives, I hope to challenge stereotypes and inspire young girls to dream big and consider pursuing STEM careers.

Building a Supportive Network:

I plan to collaborate with local schools, universities, and organizations to form mentorship programs where successful women in STEM can guide and motivate young girls. Additionally, I will strive to create safe spaces where girls can share their experiences, seek advice, and receive encouragement in their journey towards STEM careers.
