The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship, now in its 12th year, is available to eligible 300-level students pursuing Science and Technology-related courses at Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education). If they maintain the required grades, 300 successful students will be awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 per year until graduation. MTN Online Scholarship 2023
In its tenth year, the MTN Scholarship for Blind Students is aimed at qualified 200-level blind students pursuing any course at Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education). If they maintain the required grades, 60 successful blind students are awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 per year until graduation.
The Top 10 UTME Scholarship, which began in 2020, is the most recent addition to the MTN Scholarships. Every year, the top ten UTME scorers as announced by JAMB automatically qualify for the top ten UTME scholarships. If they maintain the required grades, the successful candidates are awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 from their 100 level through graduation. The Top 10 UTME Scholarship is given regardless of the successful candidates’ prefered course of study or Tertiary Institution in Nigeria (public or private).
It is worth noting that the MTN Foundation has given over N3 billion in scholarships to 4,212 students since its inception. Following graduation, each scholar participates in the MTNF Skill Up Training to ensure that they are well prepared to compete and add value to Nigeria’s labour market. They are also exposed to other training and certification opportunities, such as PMI (Project Management Institute). They are also provided with information about job opportunities and other career-related information as members of the Alumni chat group.
