Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship for Canadian Students in Taiwan

Undergraduate degree recipients will receive NT$15,000 per month, while graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) recipients will receive NT$20,000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Only Canadian citizens with permanent addresses in the provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador are eligible to apply. If you are a resident of Western Canada, please apply to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vancouver.
- Course Level: The scholarship is available for Bachelor, Master, and PhD degree programs.
- Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required.
- Country Exclusion: Applicants from mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau are not eligible to apply.
Application Process:
To apply for the Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship, you need to follow these steps:
- Obtain the 2023 Taiwan Scholarship Application Form.
- Prepare the required documents, which include a copy of your Canadian passport or other nationality certificates, authenticated or sealed copies of your highest degree and academic transcripts, proof of application to a university/college in Taiwan, and language proficiency certificate (if applicable).
- Provide two letters of reference in sealed envelopes and sign the Taiwan Scholarship Terms of Agreement.
- Send your complete application package to the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Canada before the March 31, 2023 deadline. Make sure that the envelope is postmarked.
