The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) was established in 2009 by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) with the aim of attracting exceptional students from around the world to pursue their PhD studies at renowned institutions in Hong Kong. Each fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$ 325,200 (approximately US$41,690) along with a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$ 13,600 (approximately US$1,740) per year for a maximum duration of three years.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the HKPFS, applicants must seek admission as new full-time PhD students at any of the UGC-funded institutions in Hong Kong.
