To be eligible for this bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a student from NCUK, interested in continuing your studies at the University of Waikato.
  2. Be able to begin your studies in New Zealand on a face-to-face basis.
  3. Be a new international student at the University of Waikato.

Value of the Bursary:

The bursary offers a value of up to $6,000 per recipient. The final amount awarded will depend on factors such as available funding, academic grades, enrolled credits, and the duration of the course.

a) For students progressing from the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) to Year 1 of bachelor’s degrees, the bursary will be NZ$6,000 over two years. You will receive NZ$3,000 in your first year and an additional NZ$3,000 in your second year after successfully completing all first-year papers.

b) Students progressing from the NCUK International Year One (IYOne) to Year 2 of Business and Engineering bachelor’s degrees will be awarded NZ$5,000 over two years. NZ$2,500 will be granted in the first year and another NZ$2,500 in the second year after meeting first-year academic requirements.

c) For students advancing from the NCUK Master’s Preparation Program (PMP) to master’s degrees of 120pts1 or more, a bursary of NZ$5,000 will be provided.
