The Schwarzman Scholars program is an exceptional scholarship designed to nurture the next generation of world leaders. Fields of Study:
The program offers a Master’s Degree and Leadership Programme in Global Affairs with concentrations in three disciplines: Public Policy, Economic and Business, and International Studies.
Number of Awards:
The program will accept up to 200 students, with approximately 45% of the first class coming from the United States, 20% from China, and 35% from other parts of the world.
To be eligible for the Schwarzman Scholars program, applicants must hold an undergraduate or first degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants currently pursuing undergraduate degrees should be on track to complete all requirements before August 1 of their enrollment year. There are no restrictions on the field of undergraduate study, but candidates must explain how participating in the program will enhance their leadership potential within their chosen field.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old but not yet 29 years old as of August 1 of their enrollment year.
English Language Proficiency:
Applicants must demonstrate strong English language skills since all teaching at the program will be conducted in English. Acceptable English proficiency tests include TOEFL iBT (minimum score 100), IELTS (minimum score 7), or Cambridge English (C1 or C2, minimum score 185). The English proficiency requirement may be waived for applicants who meet specific criteria.
Selected Schwarzman Scholars will receive a comprehensive scholarship that covers tuition and fees, accommodation, travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year, an in-country study tour, required course materials, health insurance, and a personal stipend.
Applicants can apply online and submit the required documents before the specified deadline. Candidates from the US and other countries should apply before 19 September 2023. Applicants from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao have until May 2023 (exact date to be announced) to apply.
