The Kaduna State Scholarship is awarded to those who meet the following criteria:
• A minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 5.0 or 1.6 out of 4.0 • A medical certificate from a government hospital confirming the disability • A student who has at least one more semester to pay for at the time of disbursement

Scholarship Categories:
Local

Foreign

(1) Local scholarships are divided into two categories: I merit-based and (ii) need-based.

Merit:\sScholarship Requirement
• A minimum CGPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 or 3.5 out of 4.0 • Must be a student with at least one semester remaining at the time of disbursement

• You must not be a drop-out.
Fresh students must provide evidence of Grade B in at least five subjects including Mathematics and English and Grade C for the other subjects taken in WASSCE or NECO in one seating and not later than 2017.

As a leveller to prosperity, the Kaduna State Government is particularly concerned with ensuring that indigent students (poor and needy) have equal access to quality education.
The Kaduna State Government is adamant that these scholarships go only to the needy. Anyone applying for this scholarship must be prepared to provide information on their Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Biometric Verification Number (BVN) (BVN). Applicants who own property must be willing to provide it if it is available.

Scholarship Prerequisite
• A minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 5.0 or 1.6 out of 4.0 • Be a student with at least one semester remaining at the time of disbursement
• You must not be a drop-out.
• Masters students with more than two years of experience or PhD students with more than four years of experience are not eligible to apply.

All students who started 100 levels, ND1 or HND1 in January 2020 and have not yet received their results should apply.

** Ensure that your parents (both) obtain their Tax Certificate as soon as possible.
If one of your parents has passed away, make sure you have his or her death certificate in addition to their Tax Certificate.
If any of your parents is a peasant or a housewife in any of the urban or rural areas, ensure that they obtain a tax certificate even if they earn as little as N100. Every local government area in Nigeria has a tax office.

(2) Foreign; Scholarships are classified as I merit-based, (ii) need-based, (iii) disability-based, or (iv) emerging skills-based. (v) Undergraduate Sports Scholarship Requirement

Grade A in at least five subjects, including Mathematics and English, and Grade B in the remaining subjects taken in one sitting in WASSCE or NECO before 2017.
Candidates may apply without securing admission, but admission from an approved university is required before the scholarship is awarded.
Graduate student:
Scholarship Prerequisite

A first-class undergraduate degree is required to apply for a Masters degree.
A Masters degree is required to apply for a PhD.
