However, candidates registered for MPhil or other Masters courses are not eligible for this award.

Preference will be given to students who do not receive full funding from a Research Council or comparable levels of support from other sources, especially for fieldwork or data collection. Those who have not previously received this support will also be given preference.

How to apply?

To apply for the Dudley Stamp Memorial Award, interested candidates should submit their applications via email to the Society’s Grants Officer ([email protected]) no later than 23rd November 2023. Please ensure to adhere to this deadline as late submissions will not be accepted.

The application must include the following information:

  1. Name, affiliation, and full contact details, including an email address.
  2. The year of commencement of the postgraduate course and the intended completion date.
  3. A title and short abstract of the project (maximum 100 words).

Applicants are also required to provide a detailed CV and two referee statements to support their application.
