According to the report, the young self-made billionaires in the United States amassed their fortunes by investing in startups and launching their own multibillion-dollar businesses.
According to Jonathan Merry, Chief Executive Officer of MoneyTransfer, the combined wealth of the under 30 billionaires is $11.8 billion.

Gary Wang, 28, with a nett worth of $5.9 billion; Ryan Breslow, 27, with a fortune of $2 billion; Stanley Tang, 28, with a fortune of $1.2 billion; Austin Russell, with a fortune of $1.6 billion; and Andy Fang, 29, with a fortune of $1.1 billion, are the five billionaires who account for 42% of the country’s under-30 billionaires.
The young self-made billionaires are thought to have amassed their fortunes through the use of technology to provide services in the financial, cryptocurrency, and e-commerce industries, among others.
Mr Wang is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of FTX exchange, a cryptocurrency Bahamian cryptocurrency exchange, and has a nett worth of $5.9 billion.
Mr. Breslow is the founder and CEO of Bolt, a digital company that is democratising commerce.
Mr Russell, a college dropout with a $1.6 billion nett worth, founded and controls the automotive sensor startup Luminar Technologies, which will go public in a SPAC merger in December 2020.
After receiving a $100,000 Thiel Fellowship in 2012, a programme funded by billionaire Peter Thiel to support entrepreneurs, he dropped out of college and became one of the world’s youngest self-made billionaires at the age of 25.
Mr Tang and Mr Fang rounded out the list, with nett worths of $1.2 billion and $1.1 billion, respectively. They co-founded the restaurant delivery app DoorDash in San Francisco.
Outside of the United States, the seven Under 30 billionaires include Norwegians Gustav Magnar, Alexandra Andresen, and Katharina Andresen, who have nett worths of $4.5 billion, $1.3 billion, and $1.3 billion, respectively, and Brazilians Henrique Dubugras and Pedro Franceschi, who have nett worths of $1.5 billion each.billionaires under the age of 30 in 2022
